Kapoor Residence

A house designed to respond to the dense residential neighbourhood. The language of the exterior intends to stay subtle and the layout is introverted around a courtyard . The granite clad high compound wall stands as a barrier against the noise of the busy street. The balcony is pushed into the volume of the house and the exterior form makes a splayed gesture. The light over the landscaped courtyard is filtered with fabricated steel louvers and glass, bringing in translucence and cool air to the house.
